A Multi-Hyphenate Creative Artist.
I am my mother’s daughter, hija de mi madre. Frequently the phrase is used to curse you, hija de tu pinche madre… Yeah? Say it again. I am a fierce advocate that uses my voice in ways the women before me couldn’t have. Being raised by fierce women has inspired the work I do today, it has inspired me to break intergenerational barriers that have been imposed on me and my community. Through the grace of my ancestors, I share the power of storytelling to entertain, educate and connect with people. In over 10 years of training in theatre and dance, I have ventured into many forms of storytelling which include choreography, video blogs, podcasting, and photography. In my work, I highlight cultural significance and embrace community in any way I can. Through creative mediums such as staged productions, video journals or podcast episodes, I invite people to shared experiences that take us out of our current idea of how we see the world. I invite audiences to travel, experience and see the world through a new lens of storytelling. I pour love into all of my work and inspire people of many different backgrounds to see the world with a little more laughter and joy.
